Quantum Computing from a Software Perspective

September 28, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

All are welcome! For Tufts Graduate Students in AS&E, this counts as a Notation Track workshop. https://engineering.tufts.edu/professional-development/nod
Development Domain: Scholarly Expertise.
To receive the Notation of Development (NOD), you must register using your Tufts email and Tufts ID.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: Hear ye, hear ye! Quantum Supremacy is nigh! Lucky for us, software engineers are already way ahead of the game, with tools and frameworks that make quantum software development a breeze. (Actually, it’s more like a stiff gale.)

This workshop will provide a crash-and-burn course in quantum computing and an introduction to Q#, Microsoft’s programming language for expressing quantum algorithms. You’ll practice writing and simulating a basic quantum program and discuss how this technology applies to you!
