at SunEdison.
Franklin Silvernail was formerly VP of Engineering at First Wind, which was also the operator of
“Steel Winds”, in Lackawanna, New York. In 2014, First Wind was acquired by SunEdison and
TerraForm Power for $2.4 billion, when First Wind’s portfolio had 521 MW of contracted wind generation assets and 1.6 GW in scheduled projects. In addition, subsequent to acquisition,
TerraForm Power’s call right project list with SunEdison doubled to 3.2 GW of solar and wind
projects, making SunEdison the world’s largest renewable energy development company.
