2013 IEEE Career Advancement Workshop – May 18, 2013
Overview
The IEEE Career Advancement Workshop will be held at the Muscarelle Center Auditorium, Fairleigh Dickinson University, in Teaneck, NJ. The workshop provides practical and powerful strategies to maximize your career talents, to build and perfect your personal brand, and to communicate your brand in cover letters and resumes, and during interviews. The workshop includes a keynote address from Dr. Peter Staecker, the 2013 IEEE President and CEO, and features three morning sessions on creating a resume that gets you hired, interview skills, and an invited presentation by Carl Selinger, the author of “Stuff You Don’t Learn in Engineering School”. The afternoon sessions concentrate on essential skills to thrive in the workplace, and for effective networking. The workshop concludes with a panel discussion.
