Over the last 30 years, Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) design applications have increased exponentially. They have moved from just digital designs to other areas such as embedded controllers, Digital Signal Processing, communication, and configurable computing. The Xilinx Zynq FPGAs are a perfect example of how far FPGA came. They provide plenty of FPGA fabric, embedded ARM, high speed ADC and DACs as well specialized hard core for channel coding. These FPGA can act as a full Linux machine providing a powerful development framework to enables advanced development of advanced communication, RADAR and machine learning solutions.
