2nd Nano-Symposium
September 21, 2022 @ 4:30 am - September 23, 2022 @ 12:00 pm
With this letter I would like to kindly let you know that [the 2nd UB-IEEE Nano-Symposium](http://nanosymposium.eng.buffalo.edu/) will be held on September 21 (Wednesday) to 23 (Friday) at The Buffalo Room, Capen Hall, and it is my great honor to invite all IEEE Buffalo Section members to join the event.
The 1st UB-IEEE Nano-Symposium was successfully held on November 22, 2019, at 230A Davis Hall. It demonstrated the outstanding research achievements by the UB EE faculties and students in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, and brought a strong connection between the Department and the IEEE society.
This year, the 2nd event will be resumed in person after the pandemic. More sponsors will be joining us, including both UB (EE Department, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development, and UB Quantum Science and Technology) and IEEE (Young Professionals, Buffalo Section, Electron Devices Society, and Nanotechnology Council) institutions. A special session is organized to celebrate [“the 75th anniversary of the transistor”](https://nam12.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Feds.ieee.org%2Fabout-eds%2F75th-anniversary-of-the-transistor&data=05%7C01%7Chuaminli%40buffalo.edu%7C70932596f6414ddd881908da85326106%7C96464a8af8ed40b199e25f6b50a20250%7C0%7C0%7C637968748663612304%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=M55AGWeHXY8%2FqrYKN1BF7bnQaoJ949Gy188njc4TWtI%3D&reserved=0), in which a series of talks given by top scientists will review the transistor technology from different perspectives.
The UB-IEEE Nano-Symposium is open to everyone. The participation is free of charge, but registration is compulsory. Please complete the registration before attending the event.
