5G: Looking Behind the Curtain: Signal Transmission & Reception Techniques

Signal Transmission & Reception Techniques used by cell phones have drastically changed with the introduction of 4G and evolved further with the implementation of 5G. The changes to the current bands and added spectrum in the lower frequency bands (FR1) and the upper frequency bands (FR2) gives and will give the user a significantly improved communication experience. In addition to added frequency spectrum 5G deploys techniques that are still progressing to improve mobile communication, data through-put and signal availability. This lecture shows the evolution of communications to 5G and explains the technology that makes available enhanced mobile communications
