A B C O, M (A Bad Case of MUMPS) Workshop

April 3, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Definitely not an April Fool’s joke, this workshop is hosted by Armin Karic and will be around 1 1/2 hours long with ample Q+A time. Prior knowledge of anything is not required (well maybe some basic computer programming knowledge is necessary in a computer science workshop). As for the workshop details, Armin says that “MUMPS is the most important database system you’ve likely never heard of. Nearly all of the “Fortune 500” companies in the financial and health fields have implemented their core functionalities in MUMPS. A direct result of the raw performance that MUMPS brings out during its implementation, MUMPS has made itself a very popular database system in the higher echelons of society. MUMPS, being the first of its kind in the 1960s, makes it a unique system in terms of language perspective and will definitely fascinate your computer science imagination. We hope you join us and examine MUMPS together, for all of its quirks and features.”
