Basic Design Parameters for Static H Bridge Inverters

This lecture reviews one of the fundamental inverter circuit configurations commonly used in stand-alone
(a.k.a. static) inverters – the H-Bridge. The basic circuit parameters and equations for two different
modulation techniques are developed and compared. The schematic and timing diagrams are presented,
a methodology is proposed to develop the basic equations for the circuit operation and the criteria
designing the output filter components is discussed.
