Connecticut Science Center – STEM Career Showcase.

CT Science Center STEM Career Showcase Volunteer Opportunities: Help is needed for the CT Science Center’s STEM Career Showcase, on March 31, May 2 and June 2, from 9 am to noon. Professionals from all educational backgrounds and career paths are invited to help empower students by volunteering to be Exhibitors or Panelists at the Showcase. They share their experiences, illuminate pathways, and serve as role models who can help students visualize themselves in STEM careers.
– Exhibitors: Exhibitors table and interact informally with students exploring our galleries. The organization recommends bringing relevant banners or signage and displaying interesting tools, models, diagrams, or projects. The team can provide or help craft a dynamic, interactive demonstration for employees to facilitate out on the floor, or you are welcome to bring your own.
– Panelists: Showcase attendees hear from panels featuring more experienced STEM professionals who answer questions regarding their current roles and shed light on the many challenges, surprises, and rewards encountered along their career journey. The organization provide a series of questions in advance to help panelists prepare.
