Emerging Trends in Wireless Infrastructure

5G is a transformational technology that is expected to revolutionize the way we live, work, and transform numerous industries and various facets of world economies. Given the flexibility of 5G, it has the potential to progress with incremental improvements for a long time. There are still many improvements and applications that can be addressed by evolving the 5G standard. While 5G utilizes traditional coverage extensions and densification means, newer infrastructure trends are also emerging, fast-tracking the deployment of 5G. Other notable benefits of newer infrastructure trends are cost savings, scalability, and flexibility.
In this talk, the following will be discussed:

– Current and emerging trends relative to network infrastructure
– Spectrum update and trends, FR1, FR2, unlicensed spectrum, CBRS
– Network densification and coverage trends

– Network customization and intelligence, network slicing, MEC, NPN, SON, etc.
