“Plasma Based Green Technologies”

October 26, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Research and teaching some “Plasma Green Energy Technologies” at Boston University will be discussed. The addressed work is a portion of our integrated research and academic programs established at Boston University, including plasma photonics and nanotechnology, plasma medicine, spacecraft propulsion, solar and plasma fusion as green energy sources and technologies. The focused discussion will center on electromagnetic wave-plasma interactions applicable to plasma fusion and solar powered microwave transmissions systems as well as generation of surface plasma modes in gaseous plasmas. These academic and research activities are highlighted in our IEEE paper entitled “Teaching and Research on Plasma Based Green Technologies and Some Environmental Issues” by Min-Chang Lee, published in Proceedings of 2019 IEEE International Symposium on Technology and Society (ISTAS 2019), ISBN: 978-1-7281-5480-0.
