This workshop serves as an introduction to relational databases. During the workshop, attendees will learn what databases are, the differences between relational and non-relational databases (SQL vs. NoSQL), relational database design practices, how to build a relational database from scratch and how to connect a relational database to a Java application. Optional prerequisites are Java and MySQL if you wish to follow along with the build of the database and Java application on your local machine.
