Testing 6G sub-THz communication

February 2, 2023 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am

Terahertz (THz) waves occupy the spectrum between microwaves and optical waves. The prospect of large contiguous frequency bands to meet the demand for extremely high data transfer rates in the Tbit/s range and for revolutionary services like joint communication and sensing is making this region a key research area for the next generation of wireless communications, 6G. The following topics will be discussed:

– 6G use cases benefitting from (sub-)THz frequency bands
– How to access the performance of D-band components and devices reliably
– Impact of transmission medium on D-band signal propagation
