IEEE Rochester Section Celebrates Local Women Leaders in Technology
The IEEE Rochester Section proudly recognizes the outstanding achievements of this year’s recipients of the Technology Woman of the Year and Emerging Technology Woman of the Year awards, presented at TechRochester’s 25th Annual Awards Ceremony held on April 24, 2025 at the RIT Inn & Conference Center.
These prestigious awards honor women who have made significant contributions to high technology fields in the Greater Rochester area. By highlighting their accomplishments, the program aims to inspire the next generation of women in STEM, promote mentorship, and encourage continued innovation and leadership within the region.
Karla George, CEO and Chairperson of the Board at FLX AI, was named Technology Woman of the Year in recognition of her visionary leadership and impact in the field of artificial intelligence.
Juniyali Naurial, CEO and Co-Founder of Photonect Interconnect Solutions and Vice-Chair of the IEEE Women in Engineering Rochester Section, received the Emerging Technology Woman of the Year award for her entrepreneurial accomplishments and dedication to advancing photonics innovation.
