Adriaan J. van Wijngaarden is a research scientist at Bell Laboratories, Nokia, in Murray Hill, NJ. He has been a member of the IEEE Region 1 Board of Governors since 2014, and He currently serves as IEEE Region 1 Employment and Career Activities Chair. He has been a member of the IEEE Metropolitan Sections Activities Council (METSAC) since 2013, and he currently serves as its Chair. He has been a member of the IEEE North Jersey Section’s Executive Committee since 2011 (Member-at-Large, 2011; Secretary, 2012; First Vice-Chair, 2013-14; Chair, 2015-16; Junior Past-Chair, 2017-present).
