Useful Information For Participants – Important: Updated Scoring
The Robot Challenge calls for working with tools, writing, electrical theory, teamwork,
organization, and designing an attractive robot body that does not interfere with mechanical operation.
The Robot Challenge includes:
– A team of 4 students to build a robot
– Creating a theme for the team/robot, and designing/building a carrying case for the robot
– Developing a plan, schedule and keeping a detailed log
– Preparing a written report about the experience, including problems encountered, and solutions attempted
– Competing with teams from other schools on a 6 foot course with two ½ inch hurdles
– Finally making an oral presentation to judges
