Chapters are technical sub-units of the Section, and consist of members from one or more IEEE Societies or Technical Councils. Chapter activities can include guest speakers, seminars or workshops, as well as social activities. There are currently 9 Chapters and Joint Chapters in the New Jersey Coast Section, representing 15 Technical Societies.
IEEE Affinity and special interest groups are local units of IEEE organizational units or standing committees. There are currently 5 Affinity Groups in the New Jersey Coast Section.
