– When it comes to EVM, there is no single number to characterize performance, and until now, no simple way to get the best EVM performance. There are many controls to optimize generator quality: ALC; frequency response; IQ modulator; and gain stages. Setting up your VSG can be a complex and challenging task. Does it make sense to force test engineers to be generator designers? Thankfully the answer is no. Many modern VSGs now include “Optimize EVM” features.
