NOTICE - This session will be paid for by the North Jersey Section PES as a courtesy to our members and prospective members during these challenging times of COVID-19. There will be no charge for participation and Continuing Education Unit credits. This session is being offered as a GoToMeeting (details below). The seminar will cover:Distribution Voltage Regulation Series: Methods to Regulate the Voltage on the Distribution GridIntroduction: This is a 10 - session presentation meant to assist engineers in designing the proper voltage regulationarchitecture for the distribution grid. Each session takes approximately 45-50 minutes with a 10-15minute period at the end for questions. The presentations should prove beneficial to technicians andengineers responsible for distribution standards and design, distribution planning engineers, powerquality engineers as well as SCADA/ communications engineers. Below is a brief description of eachsession.Part 9) Advanced FeaturesThis session covers advanced features in regulator/LTC controls as well as capacitor controls. Thissession is looks at how this features can help assist in detecting power quality issues as well as tovalidate distribution feeder models for both fault power and load allocations. Advanced features datatrending, harmonic monitoring, waveform capture, sequence-of-events and predictive maintenancefeatures.Part 10) Putting it all TogetherThis final session summarizes the entire series and shows example feeder designs using the principalsdiscussed throughout the sessions.Speaker(s): Bob McFetridge, Agenda: Two hours of instruction will be provided. This session is being offered as a GoToMeeting:https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/778848693You must register through VTools in advance in order to receive your CEU Certificate.
