This talk will delve into the transformative potential of AI-based software and network applications in enhancing the capabilities, efficiency, and security of 5G and future mobile networks. We will explore new developments, potential challenges, and emerging opportunities in the field. The topics will cover AI's role in network optimization, predictive maintenance, service quality management, and security enhancements. Attendees will gain insights into how AI-driven strategies can lead to smarter, more reliable, and sustainable network infrastructures, thereby shaping the future of telecommunications. Speaker: Dr. Alexandru Vulpe, IEEE SA member, has a PhD since 2014 and has a broad technical expertise with over 15 years’ involvement in international and European research projects. His research ranges from algorithms for wireless communications, 5G and beyond 5G networks to Quantum Communications, AI, Big Data, Security, Blockchain and Internet-of-Things. He is the author and co-author of over 100 scientific papers related to Big Data, Security, Cloud Computing, 4G and 5G/B5G systems, as well as Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications. Furthermore, he has managed and participated in over 40 research projects (over 15 international projects). He is a member of the 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association.
