IEEE North Jersey Section

The IEEE Ethical AI Hackathon, scheduled for December 7, 2025, at NJIT, is a collaborative event organized by IEEE North Jersey YP in partnership with the IEEE Society on Social Implications of Technology (SSIT). Building upon the practical technical training and leadership skills acquired from the recent Buildathon, this hackathon aims to engage participants actively in creating solutions centered around ethical and responsible AI development. Supported by local IEEE section funding and resources from partnering IEEE societies, the event expects strong attendance from students, recent graduates, and industry mentors. Anticipated impacts include heightened awareness of ethical considerations in AI, direct application of technical and leadership competencies, and reinforced IEEE visibility as a thought leader advocating responsible innovation within the technology community.
