IEEE annual undergraduate scholarship for students affiliated with the Rochester IEEE Section.

The Rochester Engineering Society awards several scholarships annually, recognizing outstanding engineering, engineering technology, science, or technology students.

Students should apply in September through November of their Junior year of undergraduate study unless special circumstances prevent this.  The selection committee will evaluate these circumstances on a case-by-case basis. In addition to being considered for the IEEE section scholarship, students will be considered for the other RES scholarships.

To be eligible for the Rochester IEEE Undergraduate Student Scholarship, students must:

  1. Be enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering program.
  2. Be an IEEE Student Member in good standing.
  3. Live at a permanent address OR attend an ABET-accredited college in the Rochester Section geographic region.

The Rochester Section geographic region includes Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Wyoming, Livingston, Yates, and Steuben counties. The University of Rochester, Rochester Institute of Technology, Alfred State University, and Alfred University are ABET-accredited colleges within the Rochester Section.
