IEEE annual undergraduate scholarship for students affiliated with the Rochester IEEE Section.
The Rochester Engineering Society awards several scholarships annually, recognizing outstanding engineering, engineering technology, science, or technology students.
Students should apply in September through November of their Junior year of undergraduate study unless there are special circumstances that prevent this. The selection committee will evaluate these circumstances on a case by case basis. In addition to being considered for the IEEE section scholarship, students will also be considered for the other RES scholarships.
One of the scholarships is from the IEEE Rochester NY section. IEEE student members who meet at least one of the following criteria are eligible for this scholarship:
- The student’s permanent address is in the Rochester Section geographic region
- The student attends an ABET-accredited school in the Rochester Section geographic region
The Rochester Section geographic region includes Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Wyoming, Livingston, Yates, and Steuben counties, and the University of Rochester, Rochester Institute of Technology, Alfred State University, and Alfred University.
